Citrine in its pocket
Jeans, Citrine, Temporary tattoo of my dog Laynee and a text by Teresa de Lauretis about leaving home, Wax, plaster, pigment, glitter, counterfeit artefact of revolting dykes (paper, coffee and ink), bandage, polystyrene.
This sculpture was one of the main character in a performance held in 2019. The performance was looking at the traces, ideas and moods close to the Gouines Rouges (Red Dykes), one of the first lesbian political group to be known as such in France in the 70's. The object has citrine rocks in its pocket, a concealed and moving text of Teresa de Lauretis tattooed on its front and opens to reveal a counterfeit artefact of the Gouines Rouges.
